INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPENING MOST STANDARD WIND SPINNERS
PLEASE ALSO REFER TO OUR VIDEO ON THE HOME PAGE FEATURING SOMEONE OPENING A WIND SPINNER
After unpackaging your new wind spinner, we suggest applying a quality spray car wax and buffing it when dry. This helps prevent rain water spotting, makes it easier to keep it clean and applies UV protection. (see below for maintenance tips)
Simply hold the wind spinner in front of you with both hands and the swivel pointed at 12:00. Place your left thumb as far into the middle of the spinner as you can, usually on the inner disc if there is one. Place your right middle finger behind the spinner as far towards the center as possible or on the opposite side of the middle disc. Now pushing your left thumb forward while pushing your right middle finger towards you, unfold the wind spinners "fins" by about an inch each. You may want to do a bit less as you get towards the middle, so the size of each space gradually gets smaller towards the middle of the spinner. See the diagram below.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPENING YOUR NEW 3 D HUMMINGBIRD WIND SPINNER
1. After removing from packaging and attaching the swivel is it suggested that you keep it flat and use a premium SPRAY car wax. Spray on, wipe in and buff off after it dries to a haze. This will provide UV protection while maintaining a maximum shine and avoid rain water spotting. Re wax periodically without re flattening your spinner.
2. Grasp the one of the 2 large hummingbirds that is NOT attached to the flower and bend it over 180 degrees, folding it over and mirroring it flat onto the other hummingbird at the hinge A (the tab between the 2 hummingbirds tails).
3. Now separate the two, and hold each wing on both sides of the newly formed hummingbird and bend the wings open at those hinges B located under each wing, forming a natural looking hummingbird.
4. Slightly bend the other smaller hummingbirds and flowers to your personal preference at different angles making them look 3 D.
5. Your done with the middle, now grab the sides of the spinner while holding it upright and in front of you with the swivel at 12 o‘clock. Now with your left thumb on the inside ring facing you, and your right middle finger on the opposite side under the spinner twist your hands pushing your left thumb away from you and your right middle finger towards you, spreading the “fins” of the spinner opening evenly about 1” apart. Place in a breezy spot out doors and enjoy. Re-wax at least yearly to maintain the shine and UV protection.
Do not straighten and re bend any parts, as metal fatigue may occur and they may break off

MAINTENANCE
After opening your new wind spinner, we suggest applying a quality spray car wax and buffing it when dry. This helps prevent rain water spotting, makes it easier to keep it clean and applies UV protection.
Once opened do NOT flatten your wind spinner for storage or cleaning. This will fatigue the metal and shorten it's life.
Every 6 months we suggest you take down your wind spinner, clean it and reapply a quality car wax to its finish. Also, a drop of oil on the swivel will help keep it operating smoothly and prevent premature wearing out.
